Firefighters extinguished a farm equipment fire in a Greene County field on Tuesday afternoon, according to WHIO TV.

The fire involved agricultural machinery operating in a field. Crews responded to the scene and brought the blaze under control. No injuries were reported, and authorities have not disclosed the cause of the fire.

Farm equipment fires can occur during field operations, particularly when machinery overheats or when mechanical components come into contact with dry vegetation. Fire departments in rural agricultural areas routinely respond to such incidents, especially during busy farming seasons when equipment runs for extended periods.

WHIO TV reported that firefighters were able to extinguish the fire without it spreading to surrounding property. The extent of damage to the equipment was not immediately available.

The Greene County Sheriff's Office and local fire departments responded to the incident. Additional details about the specific type of equipment involved were not released.

Farmers operating machinery in dry field conditions are advised to keep equipment maintained and to clear debris from hot engine components to reduce fire risk, according to general fire safety guidance from agricultural safety organizations.

The incident remains under routine review by local fire authorities.
