Agronomist’s notes

  • The 7S Mark 2 uses a redesigned 8S cab with 3.4m³ interior space, 6.6m² of glass and the Protect-U design giving 15cm of engine separation
  • The new Datatronic 6 display is a 12in touchscreen with 16 customisable tiles, double the size of the previous system
  • Six models powered by the AGCO Power Core75 7.5L engine span 170-245hp, with an ML180 CVT and 410L diesel tank; public debut at EIMA 2026 in Bologna

Massey Ferguson has fitted its new 7S Mark 2 tractor with a redesigned version of the 8S cab, bringing the larger model's 3.4m³ interior space and 6.6m² of glass to the mid-range for the first time.

The redesign keeps the Protect-U design, which puts 15cm of space between the cab and the engine inside the new bonnet. That separation does two jobs: it improves forward visibility and cuts the noise, vibration and heat reaching the operator.

The headline change sits in the console. The cab comes with the new Datatonic 6 display — a 12in touchscreen terminal that Massey Ferguson claims is double the size of the previous system. Resolution is higher, user profiles are limitless, and tiled carousels can be customised per operator. Each carousel holds four tiles, giving 16 customisable tiles at any given time, which can display maps, data management and guidance technology alongside camera feeds.

Two trims

The 7S Mark 2 will arrive in two trims: 'efficient' and 'exclusive'.

On 'efficient' machines, the Datatronic 6 screen mounts either in its regular position on the armrest console or on the rail on the right side of the cab. 'Efficient' spec also carries up to four hydraulic valves — either four mechanical units or a mixed package of mechanical and electro-hydraulic valves, a configuration Massey Ferguson says is exclusive to the brand. Decompression levers make coupling easier.

The 'exclusive' trim raises the seat quality and increases its rotation angle. It also allows up to five electric valves, each capable of delivering up to 120L of flow per minute, with decompression levers fitted as standard.

Built for spraying and long days

The cab carries 14 vents from the factory. An optional Category 4 filtration system provides protection during spraying tasks — a meaningful option for buyers planning to run a mounted or trailed sprayer behind the tractor.

Storage is generous. A factory-installed phone holder mounts on the armrest or terminal rail, and a fridge is available as an option, placed on the floor to the operator's right.

The overall impression is of a cab engineered to reduce operator fatigue, with clear attention paid to comfort and convenience across long working days.

Exterior equipment

Up to four cameras are available, including front and rear units plus cameras positioned on the tractor, trailer or implements. Feeds from these link to the in-cab terminal and can be shown on the on-screen tiles.

LED lighting comes as standard, with four upgrade packages on offer. The maximum package runs to 27 LED lights — eight on the bonnet and 19 on the cab. Front and rear lights can be switched on and off independently.

The tractor beneath the glass

The 7S Mark 2 gets its public debut at EIMA 2026 in Bologna, Italy, though journalists saw it last month at Massey Ferguson's Beauvais plant in France.

Power comes from the AGCO Power Core75 7.5L engine, with six models spanning 170-245hp. The ML180 continuously variable transmission delivers smooth acceleration, and the 2.95m wheelbase keeps the overall body compact for the horsepower on offer. The 410L diesel tank is competitive with other tractors in the same power bracket.

For buyers weighing a purchase, two dates matter. The public first look comes at EIMA 2026 in Bologna. And Massey Ferguson says it plans to release YouTube tutorials covering both the cab and the tractor in early 2027, which should give prospective owners a detailed walkthrough before machines reach dealerships.
